I really like the depth in this image. Compared to the colour version, this high contrast b&w conversion has ‘lost’ some of the leaves in the mid-layer shadows and emphasised the gorgeous light on the front leaves. Along with the out of focus highlights you get a strong sense that you are looking into the wood beyond, asking the question of what’s in there.
