Cameraless Photography – The morning rush

Cotton wool balls hang beneath the cloud bank, standing proud to catch the golden orange light of the rising sun. A black chasm carves through the bank, a fault line mesmorisingly maintaining it’s shape as the cloud moves. Surely this can’t be the path of a plane? Would the plane carve through the cloud like that? Why would the chasm run so deep within the cloud and why would it maintain it’s structure like that?
I think about running outside to capture this phenomenon but decide to just take it in, relishing the experience and the rare chance to pause during the morning rush and just observe this intriguing natural occurrence. Later, I wish I had an image to help illustrate this meteorological query but I’m glad I stopped long enough to take note and observe this, for I can still see the image in my minds eye.
